Drug Uses
Deltasone is used to reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms in a variety of disorders, such as lupus, severe psoriasis, severe asthma, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease. It may also be used for other situations as directed by your physician.
How Taken
Take Deltasone as suggested by your physician. To avoid stomach upset take Deltasone with a meal. Do not stop taking Deltasone suddenly if you have been taking it for a few weeks. You may need a gradual reduction in dose.
Additional Information
Deltasone may cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Deltasone is taken with alcohol or certain other medications. Use Deltasone with caution. Don't drive or perform other possibly unsafe tasks until you know how you react to this medication. If your symptoms do not improve or if they worsen, call your doctor. Deltasone should be used only by the patient for whom it has been suggested. Do not take less or more or take it more often than recommended by your physician.
