Drug Uses
Deltasone is used to reduce inflammation and alleviate symptoms in a variety of disorders, such as lupus, severe psoriasis, severe asthma, ulcerative colitis, and Crohn's disease. It may also be used for other conditions as determined by your physician.
How Taken
Take Deltasone as directed by your doctor. To avoid stomach upset take Deltasone with a meal. Don't stop taking Deltasone suddenly if you have been taking it for a few weeks. You can need a gradual reduction in dose.
Additional Information
Deltasone can cause dizziness. These effects may worsen if Deltasone is taken with alcohol or certain other drugs. Use Deltasone with caution. Do not drive or perform other possibly dangerous tasks until you know how you react to this medication. If your symptoms don't improve or if they worsen, contact your doctor. Deltasone should be used only by the patient for whom it has been determined. Do not take less or more or take it more often than directed by your physician.
